Thank you! 😀 I used Paint Shop Pro 8 to make my headings (though you could use the Gimp, as well). The headings are just text images, using the font “Dazzling Divas” (free at dafont.com–at the bottom of the left column on my blog is a list of all the fonts I use in my graphics, if you’re interested). All I did was set my font color to “texture” (not sure about other programs, but in PSP8 all you have to do is open the image you want your text to have in its texture–any image at all!). Then I copied them onto a grey background to do the outline, which I set to 1 pixel, and then I copied it onto a white background to match the blog. I hope that helps! I’m not sure what program you have (if any) or if you have any experience doing things like that, so if you have any more questions don’t hesitate to ask. 🙂
Hi there – this looks beautiful! Can you tell me – do you have to add every post to the corresponding category upon publishing? I would love any help you could offer – I am trying to create a visual index on my own site.
Hi, Jen! Thanks! Yes, you do have to add each post to the category it belongs to. However, if you forget you can just Edit them and add it then. I hope that helps!
ETA: However, THIS particular page does not use the Visual Recipe Index. I create these images myself and linked them to the corresponding pages.
