This is going to be a relatively short post and it was also written before I wrote my last post…so keep that in mind. =P
As usual, this idea came from Pinterest. Every once in a while, I get that one thing in my fridge that falls over and breaks or leaks and is really difficult to clean up. So…shelf liner!
I thought the checkboard made it much easier to measure and cut. But I didn’t do anything fancy. Just, you know…measure and cut! (Honestly, I didn’t even measure. I just marked which line I needed to stop at and started cutting. Like I said, the pattern made it much easier.) It has a rubber bottom, so it stays in place all on its own.
Very simple, quick, cheap, and easy! And if it becomes TOO difficult to clean up, I can just replace it!
Just ignore all of the wine bottles. Zach and I went to a winery a few months ago and bought those. (Not that you need a reason to buy excessive amounts of wine!)
I think it makes my fridge look so much tidier. Plus I love that when people come over and open my fridge, they can only see what’s right in front of them. Not that I have things to hide in my fridge, but it’s nice to know that I can if I have to. =P (Hey, I’m a girl who likes privacy.) I might also do the freezer, but I haven’t fully decided.
I didn’t do this as cheaply as I could have. I got the self liner at Wal-Mart for $5.49 a roll. I needed two rolls in order to do my whole fridge (only because one was barely not enough–my second roll still has quite a bit left), so it came out to about $10.98. I guess I could have gone to the Dollar Tree or picked a cheaper design, but…meh. I still managed to come under budget for the week, so I guess it didn’t hurt anything.
I’m trying to psychotically reorganize my apartment…so I’m thinking abut dedicating Wednesday to organization tips. Sound good? Also, feel free to submit some of your own tips in the comments. I could use ideas (no, really)!
