I have a new item in my Etsy shop! It’s a hand-knit seed stitch cowl. It’s actually for children, but it can be worn by a very petite adult, probably. 😛 It was knitted with Loops & Theads Charisma yarn in Mulberry Bush. VERY pretty!
Now for some honesty…I didn’t originally make it to sell. 😛 I actually knit it as a Christmas gift for my brother-in-law’s wife. She loves tie-dyed things and the yarn has a bit of a fall-colored tie-dyed feel to it (I thought). But then I realized it was a bit small for her…and as I was finishing it, she announced her pregnancy. (And as you remember, I decided to knit a baby blanket for her instead.)
So then what to do with the cowl? Well, Etsy, of course! 😛
I’ve actually been interested in selling hand-knit items for a while, so consider this my “foot in the door” moment. I’ll see how this goes. If it sells, I’ll add more colors and start selling them in adult sizes, as well.
But this cowl is beautiful! If it weren’t so tight on me, I’d keep it for myself. 😛 Take a look!

It’s a beautiful and comfortable cowl and neck warmer. Knit in a bulky, but soft, acrylic yarn. The seed stitch gives extra thickness, warmth, and durability.
The beauty of a cowl is that it can be worn by itself, to avoid dealing with scarfs that get caught on things, or it can be layered under a scarf for those extra cold winters.
As you can see, I can get it over  my head, but it’s a bit tight around my neck. I don’t recommend this for adults. (It actually fits past my chin, I just stretched it up a bit so you could actually see the colors.)

“Mulberry Bush” from Loops & Threads is a mix of plums, bright blues, and greens. Gorgeous for fall!
