If you’re like me and you hate putting on pants to leave the house, you’ll love these easy homemade pumpkin spice lattes! Made with real pumpkin.
I love the pumpkin pie lattes they sell at Starbucks. What I hate? Going to Starbucks. It’s filled with crowds of rude people who can’t form a line. It’s expensive. And, frankly, I hate putting on pants.
I’m not alone here. It’s simply not possible because pants are literally the worst. (OK, maybe not so literally.)
So for those of us who would rather stay pajama-suited-up and drink our pumpkin spice lattes from the comfort of our couches, here’s the perfect recipe! Bonus: you can make this in a crock pot as well. But I don’t want to wait 2 hours for mine, so I just make it stovetop.
Easy Homemade Pumpkin Spice Lattes
- 1 1/2 cups milk (I used almond milk)
- 1 – 1 1/2 cups brewed coffee
- 1/2 cup caramel coffee creamer
- 1/4 cup pumpkin puree
- 1/4 cup sugar
- 1/2 tsp pumpkin pie spice
Step 01: Add all ingredients to a medium-sized stock pot. On medium heat, bring to a simmer. Lower heat and simmer for about 5 minutes, or until the sugar is dissolved.
Step 02: Pour into mugs, serve with whipped cream and pumpkin pie spice on top (optional).
For the record, you can make this in a crock pot if you want. It really only needs an hour or two, though. Which is why I prefer not to–for me, a crock pot is mostly so I can cook something that cooks for a long time (generally a minimum of 4 hours–though I’m sure you can find exceptions in my archives) or would take a lot of effort otherwise.
No matter how you make it, this recipe is fantastic. If you find it too sweet, you can substitute the coffee creamer for half and half.
Enjoy!
