I finally came up with a brownie mix recipe that would be perfect for a mason jar. (I didn’t have a mason jar, so I put it in one of my Ikea bottles.) I tried sugar-free, but it didn’t work out. So this is just a regular brownie mix. Here’s the recipe!
What you’ll need:
- mason jar
- label
- 1 cup flour
- 1 cup sugar
- 1/2 baking powder
- 1/2 tsp salt
- 1/2 cup cocoa powder
- 1/4 cup milk/semi-sweet chocolate chips (optional)
- 1/4 cup white chocolate chips (optional)
Step 01: Layer all of the ingredients into your jar. (I don’t have the chips in mine. Those were added later when I realized I had some I needed to get rid of.)
I know it doesn’t look quite right, but I really didn’t feel like going out to get a mason jar.
Step 02: Either make your own label or print off this one and see how it works for you. (Without a working printer, I really can’t test it out. Which is also why I’m not going to take requests on others. So please don’t ask. I did this one mostly for kicks and giggles. If you decide to try it, let me know how it works!)
That’s it! I don’t have a picture of the completed process because…I didn’t complete it. I made the brownies while Zach was in San Antonio and my sister-in-law was here. They were delicious. So if you want a cheap Christmas gift/stocking stuffer, this would make a good one. ^_^
