Caramel pumpkin smoothies are a delicious fall breakfast alternative. Switch out the caramel yogurt with plain yogurt for a healthier option.
For some reason pumpkin recipes inspire a lot of desserts and…generally unhealthy meals. Which is fine by me, honestly, but today I thought I’d do something different.
Instead of pumpkin milkshakes or lattes, I thought I’d try something you might be more inclined to have for breakfast: smoothies! Because who doesn’t love a good smoothie?
For this recipe, I specifically used Liberté yogurt. This is not a sponsored post. Liberté is the only brand I know of that makes caramel yogurt, which is why I used it. (If you find a different brand, feel free. However, I LOVE Liberté. Their yogurt is delicious–the lemon is just fantastic.)
Caramel Pumpkin Smoothie
- 15 oz pumpkin puree
- 1 tsp pumpkin pie spice
- 1 cup milk (more if you prefer a thinner smoothie)
- 2 (6 oz) containers Liberté Caramel yogurt
- extra sweetener, such as honey (optional)
Step 01: Add all ingredients to a blender. Pulse until completely combined. Serve and enjoy!
I don’t know why I bother writing out instructions for smoothies…they’re too simple.
These are really good. It’s not exactly healthy since the yogurt adds about 50 grams of sugar. That’s more than a can of Coke, by the way. Though that’s for the entire batch, not per serving. If you want to reduce the sugar content, you can use plain yogurt. It won’t have the added caramel taste, but it will still be pretty good (and much better for you).

This looks fantastic – a healthier spin on PSL 😉
Hi Chelsey, Sounds great! I am not familiar with that brand of yogurt but will look for it. Thanks for the recipe!
